Drum

The drum is making a knocking sound during roast. Can I fix it?

The knocking sound might be caused by the beans being trapped in the Belly Drop (the small door between your drum and the cooling tray).

When you have a few minutes, please try the following: 

  • Confirm your roaster is on
  • Open the Bellwether app
  • Click on the “i” button in the top right-hand corner of your homepage
  • Select “Drum
  • Follow the steps on the third option “Is bean debris stuck in the Drum Drop Door?”

You will then need something to reach this door and get rid of anything stuck there, such as a wooden spoon, or a long screwdriver. However, please note that the drum may still be warm, so do not use anything made from plastic.
