Cooling Cycle

Cooling Cycle

The Coffee did not drop from the cooling tray.

In order to resolve this issue we have two options, here’s the breakdown:

Option 1

  1. Open the Bellwether app
  2. Access the “i” icon in the top right-hand corner
  3. Select Cooling Tray
  4. Hit “go” on the first option. (This will open the cooling tray and sweep the coffee out to the exit.)

Option 2

  1. Select Drum
  2. Hit the first “go’ button (This will run the cooling cycle for about 6 minutes and the beans should exit)

The smell during the cooling cycle is different than normal.

There are a few reasons why there might be strange smells. We ask that you ensure the following:

  • The Chaff Can has been emptied and cleaned (We recommend after 6 roasts)
  • You’ve emptied the water reservoir (Recommended after 6 roasts)
  • The filter located in the bucket cubby has been cleaned. (We recommend after every roast day)

If you’re still noticing anything odd with the Cooling Cycle, please let us know and we can assess next steps. Send a message through the Bellwether App or by using one of the paths below:
